Bridal!

I know this is probably what everyone wants to see. My mom and grandmother are actually making my dress for me (eee!!!), so I won't have pics of what the real thing looks like for a while. However, when trying on gowns, we found The Dress, so we're recreating it (plus adding a few other things that I really liked). Here are some pictures of the dress:
So we're trying to recreate this dress, which is a HUGE project, but my mom and grandmother are absolutely amazing. We had the hardest time finding the right pattern (which we never really did...), and then we couldn't find ANYTHING for the ruching pictured on this dress, so my grandmother just figured it out (wow!!!). She's making a "prototype" dress first, made out of cotton material, and that will serve as the pattern pieces for my actual dress. Once it is complete, I'll post pictures of it. My dress will also have a defined sweetheart neckline and a halter on top.

My mom will also be making my veil, so I don't really have any  pictures of that. I really like the look of the one pictured above. We're going to make it fingertip-length so that it doesn't interfere with the corset back. I'll also have a blusher veil. I just think they're so romantic... and I'm a little traditional. :-)

The Girls

We're also having the bridesmaid dresses made. They will have a simple A-line dress with a halter top and corset back. We REALLY wanted the corset back because they're just so beautiful and flattering. We want to get a picture of all of us from behind showing off our lovely corsets. My mom is making my sister's (my MOH), and we're having a woman from our church make the ones for the other girls. My MOH will be in a canary yellow, and the other girls will be in two shades of blue, alternating. I'll post pictures as I get them!

The Boys

Jesse is still uncertain as to what we're doing for the guys... I think we're going to pick a tux place in a little over a week when we're on spring break. He definitely just wants a regular black tux with vests and straight ties. We're thinking about finding paisley patterns to go on the vests and ties because we're using paisley in all our paper stuff. He'll probably be in a white vest/tie to match my dress, and each groomsman will match the girl he's paired with. I'll post pictures asap!
