About the Bride

Picture
Rachel is currently a senior in college studying Music. This makes a lot of sense, considering she’s been singing from the time she learned any words at all! However, what she really wants to do is go into ministry in the United Methodist church. She plans on attending seminary after she graduates in May 2011. It is rather ironic, considering she told her dad once that she could never do what he does.

  Fun facts about Rachel:
    - She can touch her nose with her tongue.
    - Her favorite color is blue.
    - Anytime she’s in her room or in the car, the first thing she does is turn on the music.
    - She was originally an English major.
    - She co-leads a Bible study at school.
    - She spent the previous summer interning at a United Methodist church.
    - She’s ridiculously silly at times.

About the Groom

Picture
Jesse is also a senior in college, majoring in Exercise Science. He plans on being a physical therapist, something he was inspired to do after seeing Regarding Henry when he was young. He stays very busy between preparing for graduate school, working two part-time jobs, exercising, and schoolwork. He still manages to find time, though, to be with Rachel and catch the OSU football game.

  Fun facts about Jesse:
    - He is an exercise fanatic.
    - One of his favorite bands is AC/DC.
    - If he could, he would eat nothing but cereal (or breakfast food in general) all day.
    - He enjoys being sneaky and surprising people.
    - He serves as Rachel’s personal trainer.
     - If he had his way, he would drive a stick-shift, black Dodge Dakota.
- He has moved more than Rachel has, which is quite a feat.

How we met

The first time we met was shortly after Rachel and her family moved to Southeastern Ohio in the fall of 2005. We went to high school together our junior and senior years, but never talked a whole lot until the end of our junior year, when Jesse started dating one of Rachel’s friends. At the beginning of senior year, we had almost every single class together. We became best friends, and one thing led to another, as it so often does. By January of our senior year, we decided to officially date, something that many of our teachers and classmates had predicted would eventually happen. Ironically, before we even started dating, a classmate had joked that Rachel would be the one that Jesse married! Who could have guessed back then that it would eventually happen?
